We work to improve the health and wellbeing of children and adults living with chronic gastrointestinal conditions, including Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, gastrointestinal cancers, and disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBI).

Using the Brain-Gut Axis (BGA), we help people manage gut symptoms and mental health through tailored psychological and lifestyle therapies. We work alongside consumers, advocacy groups, and healthcare professionals to co-design and test these therapies in clinical trials. Treatments shown to reduce gut symptoms, pain, and distress are then implemented into clinical practice.

We’re especially focused on increasing access to behavioural therapies for people in regional and rural areas via digital applications. Our specialties include third-wave cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT), hypnotherapy and awareness practices such as mindfulness and yoga. Nutritional advice, social support, and exercise are also used to provide whole-person care.
