We develop, evaluate and share interventions that promote wellbeing, address risks to health and development and improve treatments for people already experiencing problems.

Our work is guided by our lifecourse research, ensuring interventions target the factors that matter at each stage of life and for priority groups.

Our work

We design and evaluate interventions using world-leading randomised controlled trials. We also synthesise global evidence to determine the quality of existing interventions. Across our work, we aim to understand how an intervention works, who it helps most and the specific conditions needed for it to have the greatest impact.

Our expertise

We specialise in developing, evaluating and scaling evidence-based interventions that improve health, wellbeing and development across the lifespan. We lead randomised controlled trials, systematic reviews and co-design processes to determine what works, for whom and when. With strong partnerships across health and education, we bring effective solutions into real-world settings.

Using evidence to determine what drives lasting change

Evidence only creates impact when it is put into practice. We work collaboratively with those in health and education to determine how to best turn evidence into action.
